Eugene S. Melchionne is a native of Waterbury, Connecticut and currently resides and practices consumer bankruptcy law there. Gene is a Director for the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, the largest organization in the United States dedicated to serving the interests of consumer bankruptcy debtors.
He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Connecticut in 1977 and graduated from Drake University School of Law in 1980 where he received the American Jurisprudence Award for academic excellence.
A member of the Connecticut Supreme Court’s Commission on Foreclosures, Gene has been featured on PBS, CNN, CBS Evening News, New York Times, Business Week, the Connecticut Law Tribune, Credit.com and numerous Connecticut newspapers.
He is an avid boater, amateur musician, and Mac user.
Jay S. Fleischman is a student loan law and consumer bankruptcy attorney practicing in Los Angeles and New York. Jay is a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, National Association of Consumer Advocates, Central District of California Bankruptcy Attorneys Association, and Los Angeles County Bar Association.
A faculty member of the Student Loan Law Workshop as well as a former faculty member of Max Gardner’s Bankruptcy Boot Camp, Jay is a frequent guest lecturer on the subject of consumer protection matters at local and national bar associations.
